Fund Raisers

The department conducts various fundraisers to supplement its annual budget provided by Washington Township. Fundraiser monies are used for anything from gifts for the department volunteers to helping pay general expenses depending on the department’s needs at the time.

Ice Cream Social

On the second Saturday of every August the department holds it annual Ice Cream Social. This is a community tradition that has been held every year since 1984. The department makes in excess of 100 gallons of home made ice cream. The ice cream is served along with sloppy joe sandwiches, hot dogs, ham or pork, and pie or cake. The social is held form 4:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. The department accepts free will donations from patrons at the social.

Brick Sales

During the station addition and renovation the department installed a new flag pole and stone markers at the station. Surrounding them we are installing engraved patio bricks that people may purchase with their name or business on the brick. This will be an ongoing project that can be added to at any time. Anyone interested in purchasing a brick contact a department member or e mail the fire station.

Auxiliary Cookie Sales

The auxiliary holds an annual cookie dough sale each year. There are many different varieties available, and some they have on hand. Contact an auxiliary member with any requests.

Golf Outing

The Auxiliary will be holding a 1st annual golf outing on August 28th at Clear Creek Golf Course in Huntington County on 300 West in Goblesville. More details will be posted soon.

General Donations and Current Projects

The department accepts general donations at any time. The department can always use additional funding to complete ongoing projects and future ideas. Right now the department is planning and saving to complete the station renovations and hopefully purchase a thermal imaging unit that helps firefighters see through the dark smoke filled conditions in a structure fire. A thermal imaging camera assists with finding victims in a fire, along with finding where fire may be hidden enclosed spaces.
